Uganda is one of the countries where you cannot fail to take on a safari since there are lots of options to stay during your trip. Consider backpacker hostels, camping or exploring budget-friendly hotels, guesthouses and lodges, especially during the off-season.

When you choose to take on backpacker hotels, Uganda will offer you a number of them to facilitate you on your stay. These facilities are all over the country and around different national parks which will give you the opportunity to take on any park of your choice. These include red chili hideaway, Bwindi backpackers lodge, adrift river base activity center, Entebbe back packers, Kibale back packers, bush pig backpackers, Murchison backpackers and many more.

Camping is another option for you to go on a safari in Uganda. You can choose to go for ground camping or take on a rooftop tent facility. There are many camping sites where you can get the ground camping services where one tent will take a maximum of two people.

If you are not a fun of ground tents then take on a rooftop tent car where you will be able to sleep on the roof of your safari car. There is a single rooftop tented car and a double rooftop tented car depending on the number of travellers. Rooftop tented camping is the best camping style since it set up on the roof of the car where you can not be challenged with mud.

With this kind of camping, you are at liberty to park anywhere and sleep as long as there is security. You will pay a small fee for you to park your car and raise up your tent and prepare your dinner and sleep. In the morning you put down the tent and continue with your daily routine on the safari.

A rooftop tent gets you off of the ground so you don’t need to worry about animals or other critters paying you a visit in the night. You access the tent with a ladder, which you can fold up at night if you want to be extra sure you’re out of reach.

You don’t have to worry about people tripping over a fly line or kicking out a tent stake when walking around in the dark. This gives you more flexibility for picking a spot to camp as well.

A roof top tent is more comfortable and easier to set up is the built-in base. The metal base gives you a solid, flat sleeping surface so you don’t need to worry about rocks, branches, or other debris underneath you while you sleep. It also helps you avoid low spots where water can collect if it starts raining in the night.

Take up the comfort of built-in mattress that stays in place when you pack up the tent. You don’t need to worry about inflating an air mattress or sleeping pad and it doesn’t take up any storage space in your vehicle. The built-in mattress is also more comfortable than most ground camping mattresses, especially the thin sleeping pads that many people use.

Another option is occupying the budget friendly lodge which fall in your budget. In this case, you will find those lodges whose prices are low and can fit with in your budget. Take safaris in the low season period that is between march and may where demand is very low and all lodges are redundant then decide to cut the prices to so that even the budget client is able to pay. In this period discounts are given to motivate you take a safari making it a budget friendly way to stay in Uganda for a safari.

Even when its not a peak season, there are those budget friendly facilities which will always be there for those budget travellers.  The moment you make up your minds for a Uganda safari, you will have to book early enough to avoid missing out on the rooms since they get filled up first.
