Kulalu Camp

Just 110km west of the coastal towns of Malindi and Watamu, only 2 hours drive away, is Galena and Kulalu Ranches deep in the heart of Kenya’s bush land on 1.4 million acres of pristine Africa.

This huge Ranch has an unfenced border with Tsavo East National Park. Kulalu Camp sits high on the banks of the Galena River.

 Accommodation at the Kulalu Camp –

Kulalu camp offers safari accommodation in five spacious tents, two doubles (one which can also be used as a family tent with a bunk bed) and three twins each with en-suite, flushing toilet and a safari shower. Each tent is thoughtfully positioned to ensure a breathtaking view of the Galena River.

NB: Kulalu Camp is environmentally friendly and uses solar energy for lighting and heating.

Dining at the Kulalu Camp

Kulalu Camp’s dining and lounge area are made of semi-permanent makuti (palm thatch), from here you can quietly watch the wildlife and bird activity along the Galena river bank. The river location provides brilliant opportunities to be sitting relaxing on your veranda while watching the wildlife come and drink from the river in the morning and late afternoon.

Food at Kulalu Camp in Tsavo East is absolutely delicious and is made from fresh produce that is bought in from Malindi. Kulalu camp’s culinary experience features full English breakfast’s, light lunches and three-course dinners as you look out over the Galena River.
