Nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill is The Aberdare Country Club, just two-hour’s drive from Nairobi and is a famous weekend resort for residents of Nairobi and people on safari holidays.

The club’s 1,300- acre wildlife sanctuary abounds with Thompson and Grant’s gazelles, zebras, giraffes and the more reclusive leopards.

Accommodation at the Aberdare Country Club

Aberdare Country club offers accommodation in 107 guest rooms and cottages. All rooms the Aberdares Country Club are comfortable with private bathroom facilities and have spectacular views of the plains below, the Aberdare Mountains to the West and Mount Kenya to the East.

The club serves as a gateway to the popular ‘tree lodge, The Ark, which is situated within the Salient of the Aberdare Mountains. Visitors usually stop over for lunch at the Club before they are transferred to the Ark.

However, the Club is a delightful place to spend a night pre- or post-Ark. Besides it being with excellent reputation for generous hospitality and fine international cuisine;

The club has 48 en-suite rooms, 28 twins and 20 double-bedded rooms, 38 of which are cottages all with spectacular views of the plains below. A total of 107 guests can be catered for. All rooms have private bathrooms with shower and telephone.
