Good evening to you all again… what a week it was… I thought a very slow week until I started looking for pics to show you and then realize that I actually had a very good week… no cats, until this am!
I drove all the road in the area, and enjoyed every one of them… the dams, the little loops its always an experience… you can drive one road today and see nothing… and then tomorrow, you see it all!
I had friends coming to visit for the long weekend… all the way from East London… almost 2000km, and it was really nice to have some company… Now they have left and I’m here sitting almost “naked”, as I packed up today to move to BnDal early tomorrow morning… no awning for the caravan… just me, table, chair and a nice fire going to keep me company!
I could not believe how many Elephant, Buffalo, Impala, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Steenbuck, Kudu and Duiker I saw this week… then our friends arrived and we went all out… looking for cats that was, but not to be…
We did find this buff staring at us… just remember they look very tame, but they are the most dangerous animals when you are on foot!!! Dont think they are cows… they are not!
A nice stop at the Skukuza day visitors area where we made a “skottel” breakfast… a gas bottle with a pan on top… you can’t come to Kruger and not stop at a Picnic spot and make one of them… bacon, sausage, eggs, mushrooms and toast… its the best!
On the way back to camp a Rhino road block… nice to see so many Rhino together!
The next day we took the Voortrekker road and got another of Krugers “rare antelope” 2 Tssesebe… nice to see them in this area… and always a great sighting…
Also a great sighting, not many get to see of a Python coming out of its hole… really enjoyed it @
and then this am… the cats of all cats… really so glad I could show a newcomer to Kruger the great sightings!!!
And then as I thought it could not get any better… a Leopard with a cub… really in the bush… but you could see it and we watched it for a while… a great sighting again… and I could not ask for anything more to close of my week at PKop!!!
So until next week when I will bring you an update from BergnDal!!
Martie

Geeee, I got goose bumbs all over my body when I looked at that python picture… Goodness, glad you enjoyed it, not sure how I would have reacted
For sure a great way of saying ‘auf wiedersehen’ to PKop. You seem like a good bush cook – would like to know what is your best/favorite bush meal to prepare? (eating is essential so indirectly it IS part of Living your dream so I hope I dont drag you off your blog tracks too much) Enjoy your time at B&Dal!!
